A Pet Walk held today in Lackawanna County gave participants a chance to remember pets that have passed on.
In Tracey's Hope Memorial Pet Walk at McDade Park in Scranton, pet owners brought their current pets and remembered those they have lost through the years.
The even also serves as a fundraiser for Tracey's Hope, which is a Duryea based animal hospice care and domestic animal rescue program.
Eyewitness News Anchor Mark Hiller was part of Saturday's event.
"Oh, it helps us a lot. I mean we really need...we have a veterinary tab of $40,000 because of the Tanis dogs and we really need to pay that up," Denise Kumor, CEo of Tracy's Hope said.
Tracey's Hope harbored about half-dozen sick dogs seized in 2012 from John Tanis of Moosic who was convicted of animal cruelty.
Today marked the 8th year for the Memorial Pet Walk in Scranton.
